Why is it when I clean by bike I end up with grease and dirt all over my hands and arms, and it takes almost as long to clean me as it did to clean the bike in the first place.
Does this happen to just me?

Use latex gloves (like the ones health-workers use). They're about $12 for 100. Might look a bit odd but they'll keep your hands clean.

But I like it looking all nice and shiny. Plus I'm hoping it will last longer by getting all those nasty chemicals off it that the road seems to like depositing. And of course, it's when I inspect my bike for unusual things (which usually means something needs to be done about it).

Eucalyptus oil, petrol, washing up liquid, latex gloves.
Used to work as a waiter, was a bitch turning up smelling of solvent after 4 hours work on the car!

I don't mind getting dirty so much, it's more the cuts and bruises I always seem to get.

Does this happen to just me? Yes but....
Not if you use CT18 Superwash, spray on, soak, brush on (to clean), hose off, dry off, polish!
