So about 15 weeks ago I crashed my Cagiva Raptor. Insurance came to the party and agreed to fully fix the bike.

I paid $800 to get the bike back so I could go to the brass monkey. The bike shop (who I bought it from and fixed it for the insurance company) needed to get some new handle bars for it. No problem I thought, they wont be far away and the temporary ones arnt that bad even if the fit is a bit off.

8 weeks later the bike is still at the bike shop (it had to go back because the tank needed to be repainted as it looked like there was sand in the paint), and 8 weeks later Im still waiting on handlebars.

I keep ringing up to find out what is happening but they never know how far away the handle bars are and they promise to follow it up but nothing ever seems to happen.

I had a similar problem after I just bought the bike, the front discs warped. It took them atleast 7 weeks to get replacement discs and pads.

Its now becoming apparent that this bike shop cannot provide any level of quality service for this bike, or they just dont care and Im at my wits end.

I want my bike back. The summer rally season is 4-5 weeks away and the way things are going, I wont even have my bike for that.

Hell Im at the point where I just want my money back and I'll go buy a Suzuki.

How long does it normally take to get stuff from Italy?

Can't speak for Italy, but parts ex Austria are normally 10 days.

Have you thought about aftermarket bars? Renthals perhaps? Should be easy to get, subject to importer having them.
