Been pretty busy this weekend (helping No. 1 son move out of his house before leaving for Oz in a week or two) so no time for a decent ride, but did get out for an hour or so just before lunch. Only went across town and down the Surf Highway to Opunake, but man, what an awesome ride. I can't remember the last time I felt so in tune with the bike. The old GPZ was running as sweet as a nut, I got through the bends at Tataraimaka quicker and smoother than ever before, just seemed to be able to pick my lines today without even thinking about it.

Must have been really relaxed today, 'cos I didn't even get (too) pissed off with the idiot in a people mover who decided change lanes just as I passed him.

Just have to hope todays' ride is a wee taste of the summer to come. Roll on daylight saving

You ride back the top route around the park boundary, assuming you went via Surf Highway to Opunake, nice road Wiremu Rd is back to Okato.

It was a brilliant day, I covered a few km :Punk: I didn't want to stop. I was working with the bike smoothly, in the groove [no giggling back there] and just had a perfect ride at a good pace on my fav back roads

Would have done that if I wasn't a wee bit short on time - got back to folded arms and tapping feet as it was:Oops:

Nice one :niceone:

Had a great ride today as well. A couple of friends & I headed up to Mokau for the usual whitebait fritter & a natter in the sun, perfect weather :sunny:

Roads were pretty good, although damp out of the sun so had to keep an eye on that.

Prior to heading out with the lads I decided to go scrub the new tyres in so headed off South toward Inglewood/Stratford way. Just out of NP & some idiot with stick on ears on their helmet approaches from behind. I'm in my usual spot, right hand wheel track, tootling along at 100. He/she decides it's ok to just come up the inside of me & just sit there in the blind spot, their front near my rear wheel. Momentarily, fine, whatever, but this clown just sits there like thats an ok place to follow <_<

I gave em a hand signal to back off & then gave a lil squirt to put some distance between us. Same again, approaches in the inside line & just sits there, so bloody close, no room for era.

Jeez there is some morons around :bash:
