Holy shit! What a race! I had to go to two gaming bars to be able to watch it all but it was well worth it (also I must look a bit sad sitting there by myself watching it cos I always get a free beer)
None of the 'top 4' took a podium
Lorenzo and Rossi crashing, Rossi getting back on and fighting back to come 5th, incredible!

How about fucking Ducati! Im a fan of Stoner, and I feel for him, I really do....this was such a fuck up, he didnt even manage to pass the riders that changed to wets later on!

But well done to Dovizioso, stellar performance, as well as Colin Edwards that little champion!


250's wasnt as exciting as usual, good on Aoyama! Though Im a fan of Bautista who played it safe in the end and came home with a 2nd.

125's were actually bloody exciting to watch this round! Lots of passing, crashing etc.
I actually had this thought when I was watching Sachsenring, the best thing about the 125's is the little hissy fits they throw when they crash... fucking hilarious!

Anyway...awesome racing! cool to see some new faces up on the podium

Yep, one of the few joys of working nightshift out here is occasionally being able to sneaking off for a bike fix come WSBK/MotoGP time......and what a brilliant/absorbing race to catch. One of the most interesting in blardy ages, right up until the last lap it looked like it could have been any one of three riders but in the end I reckon Dovi rode a great race and paced it perfectly, leaving just a lil' up his sleeve for when he needed it.

Felt sorry for poor wee Pol Espargaró he was doing so well, coming first from working his way up from about 6th or something.
Then he crashed the race was red flagged but he got to start from pole for the 5 laps then ended up 10th

He then attributed his ability to avoid wet white lines to the half-smoked visor he used because he couldn't see the difference between wet and dry tarmac through it. He held off de Puniet's challenge because he was 'faster or dumber' at the end.

It also earned Colin the unwanted distinction of the being the man who has stood on the podium most times on 500/MotoGP races but not won a race. Colin has 11 podiums, Graeme Crosby had ten.

Over in OZ at the moment and taped it where we are staying 'cos we're still on kiwi time, and missed the last 6 laps!! Sounds like we caught most of the action, was a great race too. 125 action was great, funny watching those fired up teenagers react when they crash.

In its own way a brilliant race.

Was pleased that Divizioso won, he has an "Action Man" riding style and unlike Pedrosa he does know how to smile.

I was pleased enough that Edwards got second, and that he beat Tozeland after the latter did the dirty and demanded Edward's crew chief last year.

Was actually pleased Rossi finished sixth(?) and before the race I wouldn't have guessed that.

The first few laps were intense eh! Makes me wonder what they all said to eachother before the race- it was kinda like a bar room brawl.

I'm a little surprised that so many riders crashed out while riding on the white lines. Yeah mistakes happen, but shit at their level you'd think they would have learned not to do that

You won't know this, being a car person, but in the wet, painted lines are usually slippery as hell.

Not the ideal surface to be braking/accelerating/cornering hard on.

Read somewhere that one of the track crew was spotted painting some white lines - and he was putting the paint on mud. I s'pose it was in England though. :whistle:
