Quasi............KTM525SMR number 65

Well weather first up, Friday was absolute bollocks on the drive down but Saturday was really nice so excellent stuff to the big fella in the sky

my day started as a bit of a panic as I had new rubber and no chance of a scrub in, and no power in the shed to get some heat into the tyres so Practice was a little slow, however I went out scrubbing in me rubber thinking take it easy, take it easy, and after about 4 laps decided to give it a bit more throttle but nothing to risky, so I thought after about 6 laps it was time to boogey and the flag came out ! Oh well what I did will have to do

Fuck me days I qualified 3rd ! cewl, thats a record for me BTW

My first race came up I went out the shed inspired to go hard and keep my overall placing of 4rth firmly in place or bettered so I had Pantera going on in me head and was going to Mutha F**ken clean up !!

Race start..................crap, turn one was in about 5th, managed to get 2 spots and turn three two more

FUCK ME DAYS QUASI WAS IN FIRST !!!!

well thats never happened before, cewl I thought but it was kinda weird to be honest, anyway I went as hard as I could, I went through the hairpin and onto the straight and the bigger fellas where all over me and passed my arse like I was standing still, Into Higgins I braked late and was all over the SXV550 and bullied him for first spot again, I just didnt have the HP, I went back to 3rd and it seemed like I couldnt make ground except into and through the corners I managed to catch them up into turn one again and felt it was time to make a move again to rattle them................When !!!

In a split sec no warning the front just washed away and I was on the deck

hello track......hello sky......hello track.....hello sky.......hello grass......hello sky (this went on for some time it seemed) great Im done time to stand up.........wrong......... hello sky, hello grass...........finally came to rest and jumped up to get the bike, I saw a trail of bits behind the bike and figured that the race was over for me so I composed myself and waited for the end of the race.

Muppet award moment..............I wanted to pull the bike of the stones so I grabbed the front forks and pulled like a bastard, little foot traction was gained so I ended up pulling the bike On top of me pinning myself underneath (fuck did I share that) anyway all in full view of the spectators, fuck I felt stoopid , but all in good fun eh.

Once I did get to have a look at the bike I could see that I smashed the master cylinder for the clutch, apart from that a broken plastic and nothin else so sweeeeet a very simple and quick repair, infact its almost finished

Body well a bit sore got whiplash or summit and a few sore bits but Im lucky overall as I have seen the video of the spill and it was a goody.

For your interest it is going to be on TV3 Sunrise (the brekky show) Tues or wed am, they where doing a feature on bikes and LG n stuff (not that Im LG but they filmed it all !! so tune in for a giggle.

Thanks to the sponsors

Thought you were taking a short cut all the way back to pitlane...

Glad you wasn't hurt. Sure was a spectacular bin, and was a bit concerned (touching moment) when you stood up, only to fall over again.

Heard you go down (I can hear all the crashes at Splash). Bit of a bugger but Splash is the first left in at least a minute so it does a good job of reminding about grip... or lack thereof.

See you Round 5. Enjoy the break.

With rebound shimming at both ends that no longer can be timed with an hourglass you will have more grip and therefore be able to crash at higher speed....Seriously, the internal rebound calibration at both ends in those WP suspenders is dangerous.

you will have more grip and therefore be able to crash at higher speed....

Haha, that'll be something to look forward to!

So what's the plan Quasi, rip off the fairings and wack a set of renthals on a Honda SP1?

......hang about, what's to stop someone doing that? How do you define what a motard bike is?

Shame you crashed mate, but it must have been great to suck on that rarefied atmosphere up the front while it lasted!

Bummer about the crash mate but you were going blardy well up to that point.

Is the bike still sold ?
