Hi. Does anyone know what's involved in this? It seems like it should be pretty straight forward to me but the local shop said two hours labour. Just wondering if there's something obvious that I'm missing?

Also, does anyone know if you have to change the dampers when changing risers?

risers just bolt to camps and then bars go thru them

The issue is is there enough length in the cables when the risers are put on.
If you are changing bars, they have to make sure all the controls fit your the new bars also (often means drilling hole in bar so switch gear stays in place etc.
So a shop saying 2 hours, isn't far off.
Next changing the springs in the front forks(dampers) is another job that i would expect they say 1 to 1 1/2 hours, + cost of springs
