Nothing to complain about, thats for sure. Of course, us guys ain't getting any better looking (typical, get the raw deal :(), but since I like looking at the ladies, not too concerning :lol:

Then I was casting my mind back, and I remembered the man drought (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10413561), and that women were hunting in packs (http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/295808) to find men... :blink:

Last night, I was home early (got to watch at least one show a week, and Chuck is hilarious) and ended up watching SVU first, which has an episode called "Smut" (http://www.nbc.com/Law_and_Order_Special_Victims_Unit/about/recaps.shtml#cat=10&mea=10010&ima=56552) on. Plot was about girls getting raped with some brazilian breath/death drug, couldn't remember anything etc. Obviously they nailed the bastard in the end. Kelly Hu was hot as usual. :love:

Then I was thinking (yes, it hurt) and had a brainwave (highly unusual). <_<

BUT in the statistics, they dont mention how many of the women are lesbians! FLOORED!!!

Surely the reason for this whole shift by nature is because of the widening ratio of males to females in the modern world.

In this tiny country the female population outnumbers the male.

In places like Denmark it is something like 10:1 females to males.

Nature has realised that for the future of the species that women need an advantage to attract a mate. Hence making each generation a little more beautiful than the last.

Girls you have to work harder for a male or start "batting for the other side".

Males we dont have to worry about getting "uglier" as the females will get desperate enough to grab what they can and be thankful for that.

If it wasnt for multiple "mothers in law", poligamy isnt looking too bad.

I notice that in the original TV article they placed part of the beautification upon modern cosmetics. They also emphasised that women were keeping fitter.

If women are using techniques like cosmetic surgery to become more beautiful, then the naturally beautiful ones are losing their advantage in attracting an equally good-looking mate - so the naturally beautiful and ugly people will be cross-breeding randomly.

So in fact each generation (male and female) is likely to be getting uglier, until they reach an age when they can indulge in their own cosmetic procedures.

Imagine two people with movie-star good looks (gleaming white teeth, sun tans, blonde highlights, tummy tucks, enhanced cleavage) having kids together - the kids are going to have the pre-surgery looks of both parents... eeewww!

Wouldnt it have been more correct for the report to have stated that women are becoming more beautiful and men becomming more ugly, and for the former mention the cosmetic industry and such. Then for the latter draw some correlation to the fact that males arent becomming ugly men but due to the feminisation of our societies we are becoming the ugly women of our species :innocent:
