Seven-time cheating winner makes comeback from retirement...for the second time this year. Henceforth, I'm calling this kind of behavior "doing an Armstrong"

Be a bugger if the replacement driver is quicker in practice than his teammate.

What's all this complaining about cheating?
He's the only person that makes F1 interesting! Everyone else is boring as fuck - where's the controversy?

Pshh, don't look at me, I don't watch that rubbish.
I just like reading the outraged newspaper stories about them hijacking taxis and racing around in them. :niceone:

His participation is subject to a fitness test. Motorcycle racing does not generate anything like the lateral Gs F1 does.
Three options.
1. Most likely. Turns up, does practice, fails fitness test due to neck issues. Doesn't race.
2. Qualifies last. Finishes last. Car sucks. Not my fault. Legend untarnished.
3. Qualifies last, demolishes field on way to podium. Legend untarnished.
In any event, he's still a giant-mandibled twat.

This I am most looking forward too.
It's easy(er) to win in a superior car so will be interesting how he goes this time round.
ps: also think MS is a twat

In any event, he's still a giant-mandibled twat.I doubt fitness would be much of an issue. Like you say the neck would be the only issue he would have if any. Although hes been driving these things for over 15 years and last tested a car only a year and a bit ago and with 20 days to train i think he will be fine.

So you're saying every time he won a championship he had the best car?
The best gear in the world is worthless if you don't know how to use it

Mate when he's on pole & leading the race from start to finish, winning by a minute plus, kinda speaks for itself

Watch A1GP and see if that changes your mind... At least there is more than 2 race leaders in one race in that, all cars even, no abs, traction control and minimal help from the pits, its all on the driver, ITS INTERESTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:Oi:

Yeah, but it just lacks spectacle. I agree, when summed up like that A1GP should be more interesting. It just isn't.

Getting MS back is the first stage in the recovery of F1.
When average, useless twats' like Jensen Button can win a race, there is ample evidence of a lack of competition.
F1 has been even more boring than watching grass growing.

I'm glad he's coming back, albeit in a temporary role. Pity the season is fucked for Ferrari & McLaren due to the Diffuser saga at the start of the season.

Red bull didn't have a diffuser and they seemed to do ok ....

All the cars have a diffuser...If they didn't they wouldn't have any rear end grip!
Red Bull did have a few good results before they had the "double diffuser" but thats what you have to expect when you have Adrian Newey designing your car (the man is brilliant)

Well hes not competing thanks to an injury from a motorcycle accident that happened in February and since it hasn't healed properly in 6 months i don't think we will see him driving again.

Good point - but then he wasn't working towards an F1 drive previously.
Still tis a shame. Would have been good to see him back.
