For the last few days I have woken up to sunshine (Waikanae), Thought "WOW what a great day!"

Chuck on the leathers, start riding to work etc..

BUT WAIT!! :angry2:
The closer to the Hutt Valley I get, The worse the weather! :angry2:
The last few days there was nothing but blue sky at home, and when I got over the Haywards Hill, It starts pissing down!

People always ask me..
"Why dont you move closer to work?"

THAT IS THE REASON WHY!!
IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE RAINING THERE!! :angry2:

I LOVE KAPITI! :Punk:

With you there Sparky. I work in Petone and you can't see Wellington at the moment.

I'm getting heartily sick of coming down the Gorge in the rain/fog/wind. Bad visibility, slippery overbanding, and endless rows of cages. Actually it's a bloody hoot because I'm on two wheels, and there's nothing better for filtering than the GS.

cant get song out. of. head

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside I've got the month of May.
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl).

I've got so much honey the bees envy me.
I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees.
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl).

Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey
Ooooh.

I don't need no money, fortune, or fame.
I've got all the riches baby one man can claim.
I guess you'd say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin' 'bout my girl (my girl).

I've got sunshine on a cloudy day
With my girl.
I've even got the month of May
With my girl

Where mate? So do I :drinknsin

And yes, it's always raining here. I could hardly believe my eyes when it cleared up today. AND, there are lots of white tail spiders! They have taken lately to converging on our cup/mug cupboard. Get a mug to make some coffee, tip out spider, kill spider, make coffee as usual... Quite normal lately.

Oh, wasps. Got fecking heaps of those nasty wasps (yellow/black stripes, no, not bees....).

But, it's not all bad. The taka's are way closer from here :niceone:

I have the opposite problem... I live in the Hutt and work in Jville... and being a diehard Hutt resident (yep, black jeans to prove it - shame I don't fit them anymore) I'm quite aclimatised. So when I leave home the weather is overcast, get to work and I've got a panoramic view no further than the end of my nose in drizzle... so often it's like this. You think the Hutt's bad? Imagine living in Jville/Newlands?!!!

I love the Hutt Valley! It isn't hot and sticky and crappy and humid like over in the Kapiti Coast

And riding in the wet is good fun. You can go around corners like on a motard
