My life has taken a wee change in a different direction as from last night..:crazy:

So I must sell this bike/SUZUKI DR650K8 in Bleck....It was own by the Qks off Kb..for the 1st 15mths of its life...And now by me for the last month..

I'm sort of interested... except I'll have to factor in the costs of flying to Auckland from Chch, taxi out to you, the risk that its a dud, riding back south, cook strait ferry fees .... when I compare it to the local offerings.

Anyone know where one can get paints that will stick to plastics, won't wash off if I get petrol on it, and I can paint a nice mural over that pink!?

There's no pink. The original photos were either from a bad camera or it was removed before sale.

It's a good DR, I spent a little time following Steve on this on the Motu ride and there's nothing wrong with the bike, Steve, well that's a different story!

Seriously, I had a look over it during that ride (3 weeks ago?) and its in great condition and at that price almost a give away, if your serious, get on with it and buy the thing.
If he ever puts it on Trade me it will sell in days.

Yep, the bikes in good condition and I personally was amazed at how well it went it around corners considering the tyres had medium knobbies. :)

We brought it brand new and paid cash for it. Some people are right cocks arent they. There are plenty of people on kiwibiker who can verify we owned this before him, ie ChrisisManagement for one.

I'm with you AlpinePossum. That other thread is bizzare. To add to it..... This member (CS) contacted me via PM almost immediately after buying the DR offering to sell it on. I have the PM's clearly showing the conversation along the lines of:
Me - how much? CS - $6.5k?
Me - but you paid $5.5k? CS - No I paid $5.0k
Me - why selling and are you wanting to make money on it?
CS - I made a mistake and you can have it for $4.5k
Me - Ok I will get the money to you today - need a bank account.
CS - (over telephone) wife has checked the bank account - it has sold. It did not stack up but I left it at that.

Then the question was asked in this thread - how much did you pay for it? There was no response so I posted that he paid $5k, as he had advised me in a PM. CS red rep'd me saying "Wrong".

Sorry CS but I too find this all a bit strange. Feel free to abuse this post as well or put up more red rep.

There asking price is what they expect/hope/want to get for it and what they do get for it, is what someone else is willing to pay. If that someone else is not willing to pay what they expect/ hope/want for it and they aren't in a hurry to sell, they simply won't sell.

One of the biggest problems for poeple is when there is a bike for a good price they still want a discount and then they miss out....

The Er is my Ex girlfriends bike....And when she wanted to sell it and we advertised it....We had a good price on it....But people jumped into the thread and started talking crap about it...Offering $1 down chase me around and stuff....

So like an idiot i went along with the crap talking and sooo it began...

I have brought bikes from Dmntd/Gixxer and the Quicks and been very happy with all buys..

I have also sold bikes and gear to Kbs also....Timmay and a few others...
