I've arranged a ride with a few mates and thought i'd post it up here if anyone wants to come along.
It'll be medium paced
Meet: Caltex at Albany Megacentre
Time:1030
Will be riding out towards riverhead, then up old north road to kaukapakapa, and on to wellsford via SH16

Well... someone thaught they were sneaky trying to beat the 5c fuel rise.

Bike crapped out and it seems dirty fuel from last night fouled up some stuff....

So I will be out of action untill monday afternoon (with heaps of luck saturday afternoon) at the latest, so dont be suprised if i can't make it.

Will be riding out towards riverhead, then up old north road to kaukapakapa, and on to wellsford via SH16Great ride today HDTboy, thanks for the organisation! Weather was glorious, road surface in good condition, little other traffic, and a good bunch of competant riders to be with.

The meeting place was a bit contradictory since Caltex have put a service station at both ends of the Albany Megacentre?? So different members of the group (7 riders total) were split up at both sites until we realised that there was two!! :lol:

We lost one in the group who lagged behind from the start and then disappeared? After waiting for him for a few mins at the intersection of Old North & Peak Rds I concluded that he didn't know the roads very well and ended up taken a different route? If you're reading this mate we're sorry we got separated but that happens on these group rides sometimes. There'll be a next time!

Good riding with you again Swanman, keep up those front end lifts! Nice to meet you finally MacD!

Yep, good day for a ride and good to meet you to Zed. Thanks to Swanman for keeping me company on the way back. Must be a bummer having an R1 that lifts the front every time you go to pass a car ;)

bloody caltex, was an enjoyable ride, and i even upped the pace on the way back. had the little sewing machine screaming :)
