news to me...

Lots of Ducati, at least one MV. Maybe it was just a Casbolts thing. Certainly sounded glorious as they all set off.

I gave them a ten minute head-start as I was on the HD Fat Bob. Thought that was only fair.... ;-)

Did you guys go to Akaroa? You would have noticed the grit everywhere, as another biker at Bully Hayes said to us, it's as if the road sweeper was only paid to do up to Hilltop and no further, my bum grabbed the seat a couple of times that's for sure:sick::shit:

I did a run over to Duvauchelles yesterday and the hill was in very good condition - only about 3 corners with a bit of grit.

Mind you at this time of year I always ride that road like a Nana as you never know what you'll find mid corner.

I went over to Little River mid arvo today in the car with the family to take some photos of old sheds. It cracks me up doing this run in the car as I do it so often on the bike.
The first decent corner in the car is a mess of squealing tyres, yelling kids and the head shake from Mrs B, with me muttering "shit I can take it heaps faster on the bike......" :innocent:

Yeah i had a great run over there yesterday, and i found nearly the whole hill was in pretty good condition and the new reseals are mighty nice. Just the serious grit just past barrys bay was the only real challenge.

The port hills are a nightmare...

And we got to watch as these guys went past us at Devauchelles. Pretty impressive to see/hear.

What a great day it was

Yeah a few 1098 Ducs and one 1198S, Monsters, 848s, 999s, 916, Aprilias blah blah blah. Gave John and Tracy each a fang on the Tambi and comments ranged from 'complete sensory overload' to 'that thing is f*#king mental' she's quite a bit quicker than the last time you rode her D so maybe you need a 'refresher' ride sometime lol:Punk:

What model is the bikini fairing off?

Molly
8th August 2009, 21:23
Not sure exactly. I've seen one like it on other V11s but not color matched like this. Maybe it was an option? Dangerous might know so maybe he'll chip-in.

Bloody love that bike.

ohh thts good cos the tyre in question aint really that trashed, Id expect yours to be showing more wear... funny how people rate a rideer by the chicken strip when in fact it means squat. (can mean bad riding if all tyre used and no balling) ;)

Certainly is. I think it's an old racing colour. I've seen it on the old V7. Don't quote me but I think they must paint it silver first and the colour is translucent. Think they're starting to do the new V7 the same way too.

Guzzi's break down?
Yep, or as I'm lead to believe. Something about them orignaly being disigned as waters pumps or along the lines like that....nah just pulling ya chain :msn-wink:

Though I did see one Guzzi rider blow his engine at Manfield few weeks ago, the rider was just laughing and making engine sounds while a guy was pushing his bike back into pits. Hard case I tell ya.

I know it was a p/t. :)

Mine HAS actually broken down from stupid little things before.
They have some really brilliant and some real crap engineering (well the V11's do).

Although I did organise to have a Guzzi freighted out from Milford a couple of years back....was the battery's fault not the bike....
