No not the Darwin awards, I'm just back from Darwin and when I'm away I always like taking a few photos of the bikes around. This time I didn't see many except for these few.

Firstly a very ratty looking RF900 complete with MX helmet, and then the lovely old CB250 looking like its still used daily.

Then a DR650 with big tank and crash bars and a DRZ400 with a softer looking seat and roadie tyres.

Yep, I'm always looking at who's riding what unusual bike, but I don't photograph them.

Nice idea.

You're a big guy Dave so I suppose you make time go quick, or was it drinking beers in the hot sun?

I didn't have a lot of time to look around but did wander down to the Waterfront Precinct and liked the wave lagoon they've put in, great for the 32 deg temps.

Then there were the sunsets.

How'd you get on passing the flippin prime mover and four part road trains on the dusty roads?

Going the other way - slowly. I never caught up to one on the dirt.

Iron ore, Bauxite, Uranium, Silver, Tin, Zinc. What do you need? A fair % or the worlds deposits are up there - which is handy because there is f all else.
