Holy Cr*p! Big news! SWMBO :2thumbsup is coming with me to the BBQ!!

Still can't believe it. Maybe its because I twisted the truth by telling her what good folks Monamie, chanceyy, 86GSXR and Bren were? Nah - probably because she works with elle who will be there, and they have a great time together. Dunno if she should join us for lunch in Carterton cuz after knowing what KBers are really like she might decide not to do the BBQ...

Anyhow, SWMBO is not yet comfy about going on a bike so we will be in the cage - but I will most likely go on the loop ride starting in Levin, changing to the cage in Masterton. Weather forecast looks OK - might be a bit windy in the morning and the odd shower or two but nothing to stop keen KBers.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. It sure was a shite winter for me. DST + warmer weather suits me just fine and the BBQ is a great way to celebrate better biking days.

Hiya, I'm gatch, otherwise known as gatch, or dan.

Tommorrow evening (if the gods are smiling) I will be taking possession of a shiny black and silver nc30, if this is successful than I may just join you lot for the ride on saturday, seeing as how its a gentle kind of hoon I figure it would be a good chance to get a feel for the gorgeous new wheels.

I'm from Palmy and used to live in levin so I know the house that you are meaning 86gsxr, my buddy at high school lived down arapaepae rd..

And and and (if Im not intruding of course) mayhaps even the party later ?
I'm known to enjoy a beer or two on occasion..

Will confirm as soon as my fate is known.

Here's one possible option!

As I cant afford (time wise due to study) to be away all day, I am going to ride down and meet the group in Carterton for lunch.

Any Palmy people wanting to join me are more than welcome. I will be leaving BP Fitz at 11am. Just a cruisy ride over track, Mangimaire, and then main road down to back road around Masterton, then down to Carterton.

Yes, you can laugh now and I don't have a 4-wheel drive. Rather embarrassing, cause I haven't had a vehicle stuck since I was a teenager. That vehicle was a Hillman Imp.
:

Don't feel bad,I got stuck first hehe, but my excuse was checking to see if it was safe to park on grass. Was nearly ok till wheels sat between a small dip, then no momentum.Could've parke 2 or 3 then to soft. And my tie downs work well towing, not bad for $3.99 from repco.

All in all a bloody good day out.Good food, company, stories, what more can you ask for, even the weather played ball,(along with pups).

Role on league final,Eels please kick arse.

Very very cool night indeed. I am feeling shagged to be honest, big day Friday with a 1.30am finish and a 2am finish Saturday night and a big day today, just got through the Desert Rd as they were closing the gates, first time driving while its snowing, 40-50 kph through the desert rd makes for an even longer trip home, but pretty awesome.

shit its cold out there

Brrrrrrrr :cold: We stopped in Taihape for something to eat, and a durrie. Standing there it was bitterly cold. Cold enough to snow apparently  I will post some pics if I can get them off my phone. It snowed from just north of Taihape to the end of the Desert Road. Up on the plateau it was ummmmmmm, very white and very quiet, with not much visibility. I have never experienced snow like that, funny to watch it build up on the windscreen and then fly off

:wait: so where are they

Well now, I see a few have been posted, but I know there are many more. I took heaps, but sadly our camera seems to have vanished. Can you guys all have a Mommy look for it please. Think the camera is on the top of shelf in kitchen, was it in a blue/black case.
Not sure if it's alsheimers or oldtimers you have.
Thought of youse fellas when teletext said many roads closed in central north island, two things struck me,1)snow equals cold, and 2)teletext was almost instantly accurate.Could just see you turned back at Waiouru and having to head around SH3 home.

SWMBO loved it - I think she was pleasantly surprised how friendly and nice everyone was, and of course she really enojoyed the singing and guitar playing.

We are in Rotorua for a mini holiday. Made it through the Desrt Road before it was closed - glad we were not one of the 120 stranded cars.

We have had an incident that has soured our fabulous night last Saturday.

A camera in a Blue and Black? case is missing:(.

I would like to think it has not been stolen...merely misplaced. Can you all have a good look in chilly bags/bins etc :Pokey:and if you recall seeing it anywhere give me a PM.

There was a lot of people and activity going on-a heap of furniture was moved around too so i will send the hounds out again when i get home (kids) with promises of $$$ if they find it!!

It is of no use to anyone else and sadly missed by its owners who can not replace it.

I still can't believe all you buggers are THAT colour blind lol. Hmmm, maybe it has ended up in the clean up somewhere. We're keeping a very good lookout. I think it's still around somewhere. I was the last to bed and I put my camera on the bench top, I don't recall seeing another one there, but I wasn't looking either. So it may have ended up somewhere else around the house.

Ok the request is for EVERYONE to check for it, your bags/bins/cars/topboxes/sidecases/kids/houses/handbags and everywhere else you can think of. It has to be somewhere-they just dunna vanish on their own. It could very easily be picked up with something else-totally by accident.
