Agreed...last time I had an attempted burglary, which I interrupted by coming home while they were trying to load up all my stuff, the plod arrived the next day...after getting me to wait at home "until they arrived"...:2guns:

Too busy deciding how they wish to read the law.....well for us firearm owners anyway.

Don't be silly. They do not need to read the law, as they are above whatever the parlimentary (democratic) process has put in place.:shifty:

The police have more important things to do like fine people for noisy exhausts and impound peoples cars for sustained loss of traction.

I know someone who stole $400k from their employer.

When they got found out, the employer phoned the Police to report it.

They didn't investigate as they were far too busy and asked the employer if they could call back in a couple of days.

Her husband sold all he had and mortgaged himself upto the eyeballs, plus got his inhertitance early from his parents.

She got away with it. And then they split up. He is a lovely bloke, but a bit of a mug. I don't think he has realised whom has been screwed by who.

If he phones the Police, they will probably be too busy to explain it to him.

I bet you won't be saying that if your bike got stolen or your house got burgled and nothing got done about it.

I bet you won't be saying that if your bike got stolen or your house got burgled and nothing got done about it.I'm insured against both of those situations... what I'm not insured against is having to pick up their rubbish every Saturday morning because they're a pack of lazy destructive wankers. Mr Z nail will fuck em though :D

Bloody close, wifes' son just got a ticket for noisy exhaust, wasn't speeding as he would've been done for that,so under 50km in town.He has just had wof and as he is a ucol (mechanic course) student asked if the exhaust was under decibel level, yes said vtnz, yes said his tutor.

So off he goes to police station to ask how,why etc, even went to 2 muffler shops and they've said well under and totally legal,he asked if the cop had a db meter, nope just sounded loud. This is going to be fun me thinks.

Sure the muffler is big bore crap, but isn't any more noisy than others, and yes I dare say if you go quick in 1st,2nd the noise would be marginal, but considering the cop was driving towards him and no speeding ticket given,he wasn't going fast, hence not exessively loud.Perhaps she was after browney points.

Years ago I had a V8 fairmont with twin pipes, was noisy if you floored it,could be quite loud if held in 1st,2nd then drive and revved it,but just a typical V8 burble at 50km etc.Thinking my two brothers pipe is louder in 2nd gear at 50km than his car in drive at same speed.

I agree. we had a tonne of aluminium and stainless steel pipes go missing from the farm. surely somebody would of seen the truck or trailer. cops never bothered investigating, too busy walking around supermarket carparks looking for expired regos

You do realise that the investigations brach doesn't go out giving tickets dont you? And they probably get around 3 investigation files per hour which take a good 2-3+ hours to investigate each, for the easy ones.

Also the Police are financed through govt tenders. One of which is road policing. If the Police stopped enforcing road rules the govt would give the money to another company who would. A lot of that money goes to non road policing resources so they would be even more under financed in general duties.

Also how do you think criminals get around? Do you think they pay for rego or wof? Do you think they drive slowly? A large % are arrested from cars stopped for speeding and simple compiance issues.

If you want them to investigate more cases how about you stop complaining on these forums and write into the govt and ask them to give more money to the Police so they can afford to investigate more.
