How many pairs of glasses do you wear at the same time? I just caught me mate with two pairs of glasses on and he has only had a couple of glasses of wine!
How many pairs do you have on before you notice? I am sure he was going to put mine on as well. Of course, if you have one pair to read the paper, one pair to read KB, one pair to work on the bike, one pair for the bed - TO READ of course!! etc, etc.
AND he was just saying "I wonder who first discovered ghosts?" - something currently on TV2!!:shifty:

Friggen old eyes suck!

I have got to a point where I cant see anything even at arms length without my specs. I WILL NOT buy a bit of string for them, so have interview lenses. Very flash name for lenses that cost a weeks wages...LOL

I cant wear the 1.5 magnification $2 shop variety glasses. Apparently I have brain damage to add to my old eyes, I have to have focus distance adjustment. I dont have binocular vision (cant use binoculars and fail the stupid eye sight tests for license tests) though I see perfectly well.

I take mine off to wander around, and tend to twirl them around. They break when they hit tiled floors by the way. The worst I do is wear my sunnies on my head and my glasses on my nose. Now that is Hawt, hawt, hawt

I now have two sets of glasses: Normal vision with graduated lenses for reading, etc; and a set of "macro" glasses my brother built me for computer/reading/close-up work. Bloody marvellous, but once you've got them there's no going back.

Another example of the things that people don't tell you about the joys of getting older...

Yes we know. But Maha asked us not to pick on you.

You do realise that himself secretly marks the level on the whisky bottles, don't you?

Only those that one jointly owns with one's brother. Those marks are independently witnessed and countersigned. I suspect that if you co-owned a $300 bottle of Campbelltown, you'd do likewise.

Would it not be simpler to divide the bottle initially into two equal portions, thus allowing each co-owner to do as he wishes with his share?

Only one set.

Been wearing glasses since I was 9/10.

Will continue to do so till I kick the bucket.

Where's the latent sense of tension and anticipation in such a pragmatic solution?

Meh, I was a short sighted git as a wee nipper ... squinting in that provocative way as asians are wont to do. Inscrutable? Never! Just out of focus and blurry smudges of images in the near distance is all.

Still have the same thick black frame spectacles I got in my later years. Thank gosh for advancements in contact lenses!

Hmmm I should really get myself some of those new novelty corrective disposable eye lenses for shits n'giggles :shifty:
