Hi y'all,

As per usual, we need your help to decide the winner of this month's assignment for the Photography social group (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/group.php?groupid=95).

The topic was macro photography. This is close-up photography, which is often used to take life-size photos of small subjects like insects and tiny flowers (hence why you will see bugger all bikes).

The winner of this month's assignment gets to set the topic for next month, so please vote for your favourite!

Image 4 is ok .... but 6 ... technically is better and seems to take into account many more photographic techniques .. including rule of thirds and beautiful use of the depth of field.

What the deliciously nasty one said...

The first one was a close call, but unfortunately a little too much blurr on the butterfly's wings for me to see it as a good macro as it muddled what could have been an awesome colour display.

#6 has got just the right amount of sharpness on the subject and the use of black and white adds a nice touch of drama to the shot.

Am no expert, but loved that!
