Hi all, I am now offering a new service to bike owners, PRE Purchase inspections!!!!

New Plymouth to Auckland only at this stage.

I will go to the Bike shop, or the private sellers house, and do a thourough condition inspection for you! You can believe that I know what is and is not good quality.

$ Costs involved in this, that will be subject to urgency and location, I am up to Auckland at least 2x a week at the moment, so if you commision me to inspect a unit for you along the way, it will be a time facture cost only, However, I am prepared to do an urgent trip for you, BUT this will cost you a LOT more money.

PS, will be in Auckland again this Wedensday the 12th

Jolly good!

Another string to the Moto Dynamix "bow" and a great service to the NZ biking community.

This sounds like a great service Shaun. Have you thought of formalising it more (kinda like an AA inspection of a car)?

What is the duration of the inspection (or is there more than one "package")?
Is it visual only, or is some kind of mechanical insection done?
Is a written report offered (even if just a check sheet like the AA)?
Have you get professional indemnity insurance in case of an error?
Does your report provide a valuation only?

ps. There's no wrong answer. But it's great to have a clear understanding of what's offered so the client has a clear expectation of what they are getting.

Sounds good, have passed to details on to 2 friends who are thinking of upgrading their bike and scooter respectively.
