Bet me to it. Only had one meeting and there were over 15 bikes there. Just look at the prizes alone. Don't even get prizes that good at nationals!

Indeed, but Id also like to see more canvassing of MX riders over onto tarmac, even if its via Motards as a stepping stone.
Sloan Frost is a great recent example and so was Johnie Burkhart until a new born slowed him down.
For me the most exciting class is undoubtedly Superbike. It would be even better if ''Bears'' could come back into the fold, allowing exotic Ducatis and Aprilias etc.

I agree Robert.
They should bring BEARS into the mix........as you say there is some very exotic machinary around.:woohoo:
And yes i think the MX lot should be targeted somehow.......... the proof of how well they do at road-racing is un-deniable.

The question was "Series", not "Class"
The three round support class series for age restricted Streetstock that follows the National rounds in the SI must be the best. Equal production bikes, the 3 best tracks, grids of 35 plus. 3 practice days, 6 race days, 9 races. Low cost entry and running costs. Tech support, coaching support and even spare bikes available. Awards for each round plus overall. And last year, the Ramage Memorial trophy. Great dicing, well presented bikes, TV coverage.
And all in the school holidays making it a great family time over a few weeks in the most beautiful part of New Zealand.
Beat that, anywhere.

Nup Swerve.
The Sportz Fotoz Junior Cup has to be the best series. If you doubt this then see page 87 of August Kiwi Rider mag
Round 2 at levels this weekend.

Sorry, the SS150's and Streetstocks etc may get good fields, and have some good talent coming through.....but are fuggin' boring to watch. Slipstreaming duels at 90kph flat out just don't do it for me I'm afraid.
If I was a paying spectator I'd wanna see impressive machines, being well ridden, with sound and speed in abundance. Tick all those boxes and I'll gladly reach in my pocket to pay to see it.

If you're looking for future champions looking at one CLASS is all wrong.
If you're looking for the best class to watch then F2 or F1.
If you're looking for the best SERIES then Actrix Winter Series is pretty good but I don't know how it compares to PMCC, AMCC nor any of the other SERIES run down South.

Battle of the Streets? I know it's only 2 meetings but both from the participant and spectator perspective it is one of life's peak experiences. Imagine if Nelson and Greymouth were included. I have a biased opinion about the Actrix Winter Series, but best I save that for another thread.

Bullshit Garry, you watch most of the races with a keen eye on one bike or another.
Down playing and belittling the racing we do, is getting really fuckin old fella, stop coming if it's so shithouse.

Battle of the Streets?
Dont think it actually exists as a series anymore, as in Wanganui and Pearoa are two sperate events not linked in any way.
Just thinking as far as series goes, surely the December Tri Series would have to be up there?

Yep!
It is that and the winter series for me,possibly only because thats what is accessable to me. Any racing is good racing in my books.
