Just looing at the entry form, can ya enter on the day as I note pay by the 10th... today.
I know me bucket can go in buckets, but always getr confused where the RD sits, Clubmans or Junior?
Mrs Bullet is keen for a weekend away, and this could be ideal oportunity to try this track.

Yeah I am much excited, not as much as the kids though, Miss Ghost is taking all her colouring books, Master Bullet is taking all his transformers, and Mrs Bullet I think is going on a spending spree...(yeah right) Two nights away, and space is disapearing for the bikes and other gears...

No, needs the oil leak around the base of the barrel fixed first, I'll wait until the new head is done and the other barrel is ready to go on before it goes back on track

I wouldn't be any later than 8. If I'm in Timaru I usually get up at 630 and am at track by 730.

GB... Im up at 3:30am on the road at 5 and there via the servo round 7:15. (turn off to the
right after the 2nd 80k bridge south of Temuka, then a left)
As for the 400... clubmans, its full on with JR's having said that last round I only did 1 or 2 races as ya get a few road riders/bikes in that class and they often dont know what they are doing and last meet a 916 was getting rather untidy as he figgered no way should a 30yr old bike be carving him up... it was getting untidy so i retired.
BUT, buckets is awesome take a book to read when traveling the back straight tho, other than that best few corners in NZ.

The Programme
• Gates open: 7.20am
• Sign In: 7.30am
• Sign-in cut-off: 8.40am to accommodate a full programme
• Rider briefing: 8.50am COMPULSORY FOR ALL RIDERS

That's from M/Cantys latest newsletter.

Also if you haven't already got an AMB transponder holder on your bike then take an extra $5 as they are now insisting that the transponder is in an approved holder. Far enough too as the transponders are bloody expensive.

I've pre-entered and am aiming to get there by about 8am. The pit area is huge, I don't need power, so there's no real need to get there at the crack of dawn.

Yup no scrutineering. You fill out an exclusion form saying your bike is up to scratch and then they spot check through the day. Easy as.
Sometimes they scrutineer first timers though.

Hmmm wet and wild sums up that round. Carnage city and not just in the buckets either.
Had some good dices with Ghostie and his bucket, great fun!

Yeah never before have i seen so many bikes down. Had 7 bikes go down directly infront of me in 4 seperate crashes. Coming to the first corner during the first bucket race(maybe)? was a sad sight with all the crashed bikes lined up against the tyre wall and the riders sitting next to them(or picking up the wee peices...)

I had a great time out there anyway even though i had a wee fall in streetstock on the grass when it was that or a tyre wall that was ,ahem, encouraged by another rider...

Yeah I had bikes crash just in front of me in buckets and junior. Its always a bit of a worry when there are bikes crashing who are going at the same speed as you. I thought the level of grip improved quite a bit once the drizzle stopped and it started raining.

Got to use my recent first aid training too....:doctor:

Just home from the weekend, it was somthing awesome, with a couple of grizzles and drizzles.
They appeared pretty damn organised, the weather messy but hey thats ok.
I was looking forward to this track for the first time, but was almost with the feeling that i would go home not seeing it at all, so damn misty and all.
Out on the bucket in practice, the track seemed odd, and kinda unsure of traction. though the bucket did seem back to it's old self.

Got out for all the bucket races, and had an awesome couple of dices with gav and timg. Got pretty confident, and was running around midfield, so happy with the go on that one.

The RD in practice was awesome, and gave me confidence even in the wet to push harder lately I am just itching to get on this machine, I know it's no bucket, but it gets the blood pumping, the bikes on slicks on the straight burned on past, but were all over the place in the tight stuff, and the RD's traction was pretty predictable, a little rear twitch under trottle out of the odd corner, and braking into that 1st corner after the start finish could easy catch ya out.

The grizzles came when they took out the training round in the first race, which meant Buckets straight into Clubmans... Missed the first race... got the second race and came 5th, they were running late by the time it 3rd race came up, and by the time we came in off buckets the Clubmans were already on the start/finish, and no way of getting out. A bit pissed not getting those 2 other races, as I am sure I could have got more out of the puppy. But alas, Shit happens-Suffering is optionional...hence I sit here suffering

Mrs Bullet loved it, the kids great support, (at the end of each race they came and told me I won!!!! :first: )

She is more than happy to get out tand down there again, esp if it means a weekend away, so we shall see how things go, would love to see what things go like on a dry day. As I reckon that track is the bee's knee's, just a bit to much slippery honey on it this last weekend...
