Lots of questions for ya

Is that done with a GoPro 3 or 5?

Has Youtube crunched the quality much?

What batteries does it take

And how long does it record on the card

That's a better quality camera than I have.

What was it and where did you get it?

hmm, interesting.

So in theory a bag of spare batteries and cards could see you go a fair way. Does it support higher than 2gb?

I was looking at full video camera's but the proprietry battery thing and 3 hour record time is a pain.

that or simliar might be a better option.

Yes the batteries will last 2 hours constant filming, not sure on the card, we have a 4 gig card which I will try and let ya know.

These are very small and lite, don't even notice it on top eh.

Is the wide angle betterer or would the normal lense suffice for trail type duties. What advantage is the wide angle in this application?
Andy.

P.S What was that strange thing your mate was doing with his right leg at the beginning of the vid before you set off at around 10 seconds??

Wide angle is superior if you are riding in places anything wider that 2-3 meters wide as the wide angle tends to curve in and bend the picture in smaller or tighter places.

Wide angle is just that, it catches a lot more picture as you can see, from my handlebars to the sky with ease and out both sides.

If you are surrounded in tight tree kinda stuff then the narrow lense is ok but get the 5mp camera as it does not pixelate like the 3 mp, this gets worse when the shot gets busy or fast whereas the 5 mp can handle it.

As for my mate .. I think he was horny and was rubbing his bike up and down a bit ... either way it worked cos he turned it on :bleh:

Will post another part of the trip on the track section and you can see the detail from wide angle.

Yeah .. me too, I almost broke into a sweat while uploading the vid ... lucky I had a coldie handy

Check this one out, this is at the east end of the track, bit more open even in the Gorge part and teh wid angle takes it all in.

Pologies for the missed gear at the beginning and finger work at the end :sunny:

Is it a out and back track then? Video cam quality is rather good...
Surprising, I have seen some with the camera and was impressed with it...
