So, I've got an 09 SM610 with 2000kms on the clock and my OEM rear is pretty toast. It's a Dunlop D208 in 150-60-17 and I'm not particularily enamoured with it in general.. wet performance sucks, and even in the dry.. meh.

So, Conti road attacks are pretty highly recommended, but they only come in a 150-70, or 160-60. They do Conti-ForceSMs in 150-60 but don't know anything about them.

What else is out there ? For pure road riding, doubt I'll even do track days on the husky. Like twistys, but also is my only bike so it'll clock up the miles come summer.

edit: I know it's an OEM, but 2000kms.. I also am pretty hard on it. So longevity is good, multi-compound kind :)

edit 2: the rear rim is 4.25"

I ran Michelin's on mine to begin with - Pilot Power on the front and Pilot Sport on the rear. I was very happy with how that worked, but even with the Sport it chewed through the rear tyre quite quickly on gravel roads.

Now I'm running Pirelli MT60Rs ("dual-purpose" motard tyre) front and rear. It's still great on the road but now it's absolutely awesome on gravel. If you do any amount of gravel riding you should consider trying them out - and if you don't do gravel, go and try it.

I've been really happy with Contis. I use 120/70 Race Attack front and 150/60 Sport Attack rear. Really nice grip and I like having the sharper profile on the front, means I wont roll off the edge before the back starts letting me know it's near the limit.

I've been getting really good wear out of them too. Being cheaper than most other brands is a bonus.
