The NZPCRA is again running a class for BEARs - Pro Twins, as they did at the last Post Classic GP at Taupo.
This season there will be 2 meetings run by the NZPCRA with the combined point of this class going towards winning a nice shiny trophy.
The first meeting is the NZPCRA GP at Taupo (track 1) on Sat 31st Oct 2009.
The second meeting will be a Hampton Downs on Sat 14th March 2010.
Entry forms will be out shortly for the GP meeting at Taupo.

There was a great turnout of bikes in this class last season, so get your bikes ready for 2 great events.

Entry forms are now available on the link below.

It's for ALL BEARs bikes Johan ... Duc's, Aprillas, Triumphs etc. I think this will be the 4th or 5th year the postie club has invited the BEARs and it's been well attended each year ....20ish bikes on the grid, great racing, great day.
Should be even better this year with all those 675's lurking about.

SV650's are also eligable (ie ..twins)

BE THERE !!!!

The Postie club has made no secret of the fact that inviting the BEARs has helped the economics of their meeting no end and it's one of the few chances the NI BEARs riders get for there own class, other than the street meetings.

The NZPCRA championship will be run over 6 meetings.
I will post these in another thread shortly.
The other 4 meetings will be at events run by other clubs that may not have BEARs classes.
So for the two event that are run by the NZPCRA, we will have a BEARs/ Pro-twin class.

Hey Peter
You mentioned (jap) twins? - is that open to above 650's?

When the support class for the Postie GP was started 4-5 years ago it was for BEARs and ALL Twins. To my knowledge nothing has changed and all Jap twins are included.
However ... the class was principly included to a/ allow BEARs bikes some stand alone races and b/ help with the economics .... but there were not enough (BEARs race bikes) about so the "Twins" bit was added.
I also think BEARs was chosen because they also offered something unique to match the character of the fantastic postie scene.
At the time the SV650 class was no where near as big as they are now so I suppose we will have to watch that they don't over run the class, especially with the sweet timing of having two separate meetings at Taupo on the same weekend.
But for now, in this economy ........ I'd imagine the more the merrier !!!

Hi there Flame .... that's the plan but I'd better get my bum in gear !! There's a few issues with that poor beaten up thing that I need to address first.
I could also turn to my sad burnt up 748 :( or finish rebuilding the engine on the 996 :violin: .......shit, my bike shed is a bloody bombsite !!
One of those scenes where you open the door ... sigh .... and close it again.

But yeah .... I'll be there on something !!

Hey Peter,

There will be a practice/qualifying followed by 2 races (per class)
The second race will be the GP race (for post classic classes), national title, so will be around 8-10 laps.

Sorry, no cross entering. We can't have you taking home the senior GP title as well as the junior GP title.

Look forward to seeing you there.

having to enter OVER 2 weeks prior, what the hell is that!!

i typical ploy to get more late entry fee's, also $200.00 for 2 races is more expensive than Wanganui........ :buggerd:

How much is the hampton downs round going to be?? be nice to know how much we are going to have to fork out for the season

sorry peoples may have lost a customer.
