Try a bit of Barramundi fishing on the Bloomfield river, using a toddlers float device, while berlying up with fish guts, and goat carcasses.
Please report back what the experience was like.

Have you been fishing in the Bloomfield River?
In October I am intending to Drive the Bloomfield track in a 4wheel drive.
If you or anyone else on this site has travelled that way i woukld be interested in comments
Cheers

Back in the eighties I spent a fair bit of time fishing/camping up that way.
Big Dave was up that way last year on a Buell junket I think.
PM him for more recent details.
Nice places to visit all the way up the track from Cape Trib nth.
A must is to have a beer at the infamous "Lions Den".
Watch out for everything/anything that looks like it could bite/sting/poison or munch.
Enjoy.
PS If you catch a big Barra, you would of done better than me.

Stay as long as you like aye Carver, an lift things away from you not towards you.Thats so the nasties under it can escape away from you and don't get scared and tear ya a new one.
I only know this cause my good Aussie mates on top of the "Hill" Mountain my arse ( bathurst) Tell me every eyare when I go to take the wood outa the bags.
A big barra sounds like a bit of a challenge, there any corcagators in that river? Just wondering why the need to burley up with goats carcasses.

Put it this way. The dinghy always had a loaded shot gun with solids.
Swampy dogs wouldn't eat carver whole. (they would spit that bit out:laugh:)

Go a pump action spazz.
Old stoves, and freezers don't last too long with them.

There are only 2 ways to obtain Barramundi.
You can either have a waiter or a waitress bring it.
