Couldn't resist posting this, little Chino was plumb tucker'd out by the end of the day, I think he discovered our 3 year-old grandson was a match for him... (and a lot louder...)

He's our daughter's PapillionXSydney Silky and is 9mths old.

More like his, "Another picture...? Go away, I'm trying to sleep..!"

He's not that good at tearing jugulars out, he's had two hidings from my wife's cat and one from my daughter's cat today, so he's feeling a bit out of place. At his place he's King, but I've been "babysitting" him for the weekend.

He's a real character, for sure!

So that was your fault! :spanking:

He's only a little guy and is being treated for a chest infection so we have to keep him a bit warmer.

He's actually "grown into" his ears! When he was a baby they were half the size of his whole body!

Now I'm not saying he's spoiled, but...

My dog has asked me to list her qualities, in defence of less aesthetically pleasing pooches....

She would not hear a metal baking tray full of cutlery fall from a third story window on to a concrete drive, she can not see you until it's too late for an emergency stop, on any given day she can only rely on 3 out of 4 legs working correctly and she smells like a smelly thing from smelly town on national smelly day but but but......

She is always willing to protect my pie from the pie burglars, rampant in our area and she can tell the flavour simply by shoving her nose right in the middle of it. She's ready, day or night, to protect me from that nasty aggressive vacuum cleaner and I need have no fear if a leaf happens to blow across the garden for she will challenge and dispatch it before any harm befalls the whanau.
She has hound dog eyes that would melt the heart of any Tongan that had lit the Barbecue but forgotten the steaks and she will fetch and retrieve stones on the beach, way beyond my endurance and way beyond my having lost the will to live.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I ask you to spare a thought for the ugly, useless, smelly mutts of this world, for in the dark, from a distance, with the observer wearing sunnies, they too are cute......well maybe.

Very nice, Martybabe! There's nothing like a smelly, deaf, old loyal family pooch to melt the heart!

(I hope when I'm smelly, deaf and old that someone will care as much about me)

He tries to catch the birds but has much better success against leaves and twigs. Was funny at the park the other day, a Swallow teased him by flying low and in circles around him, then a flock of Seagulls dive-bombed him while he was chasing his ball that we throw for him. Not fair really...

Yup! He recovers pretty quick though...
