I will be there. Unless it rains in which case I won't because I am a pussy. Nah I will probably turn up regardless of what the weather is doing, but last time the tyres weren't so friendly to me at the end of the day in the wet.

I think your tyers are ok its your front end that needs attention. I would be on the lookout for some new forks. You should put the word out you may be able to get some standard FXR forks cheap from someone that has done a GXR front end conversion. They looked like they were pissing oil.

17th August 2009, 20:55
Yeah they are pretty stuffed I suppose. I will be working on the suspension asap but I am really really stoked with my tyres now that the suspension doesn't bother me as much. That front tyre has given me heaps of confidence so I am looking forward to pushing it at slipway. Although I think my bent front disc may have been packing up at the end of the endurance yesterday. Was shaking under heaving braking. I thought it was getting better. Hmm.

Am Looking forward to it. Am just rebuilding my forks as they had developed the properties of a pair of pogo sticks on steroids. I wonder if my daughters will manage a sub 2 minute lap this time, oh, and get the feet up and legs in. I have kitted my older one out with motocross body protection and top. And I may be even able to finally get my fifty up and running, it's running will very much depend on me being able to get my forks sorted out before Saturday.

So how many races can we expect on sun if it's only buckets? As apposed to sharing with karts at Kaitoke.

hmurphy
19th August 2009, 00:42
Heaps man! HEAPS! More than your body can handle if you want. Just don't end the day early by attempmting a tyre wall jump maneuver. For $35 you get your moneys worth

You'll really enjoy it. It's not the full day at Slipway as you don't start racing til 12ish.
By 4.30 you're starting to get knackered anyway.

Good luck, Mudflaps !!

what about those spectators that arent members and might be interested in coming along. where will they find the gate combo?

I think they are a little concerned with access to private property up there, hence the move to a combo locked gate.

Is there a code needed for the gate? Or is it open today?

Yep definitely nice to race on a dry track and a fine day for a change, not that it helped me any!! Still, had a fun day, tested out the new squid suit on the track, carb got cleaned out again (thanks for all yor help F5Dave and Sketchy :)), didn't fall off and finished every race (even if it was last). Very impressed with how much my honey Kendog has picked up his game, and how well Mudflaps was going out there for the first time on his "Tape worm" (ex Pamela), well done you two!!
Bring on the next round and hopefully some more fine weathered racing!

Wicked days riding today had by all, The best bits by far today for me was watching the riding. Best bit! George the master of the freestyle jump down front straight 80km odd and gets the don't come Monday( my piece of track) by Kendog and jumps three tyes!... Second was the little RG AX100 that the throttle jammed open and chose the front brake over the kill switch. Mate that was a fast lie down straight into the tyres.:clap:That man on the xl or sl 125 that tracked down George to overtake in the final bend only to lose the race by 1/2 a wheel. Skunk won a race buy the length of the back straight:clap:Richban for getting his bike going AT LAST:clap:Sketchy For parking in my ass (I''ll take your word for it mate )
Hamish you rode good today mate :clap:Andrew for yelling at Rich, that was a Dag!! F**k OFFFFFFFFFF:buggerd:GET OUT OF MY RACE! RICH

Good stuff

Hi all I had a good day also. I couldnt keep up with Fishy and Glen but felt I was improving. Sorry about the bad langue Richard your bike is just to fast and you were playing hard ball. Lucky for me Baden is out of shape so was able to get in front of him. His mouth works as good as ever. Good to see some new faces in the B race. I think my Caleb is very pleased with a 1st. Hope to see you all at the next one.

Well I don't even know where to start!! I knew today was going to be a good time...but having THAT much fun in a day is unheard of. The weather, actual racing, falling off:clap:, meeting everyone, seeing some sweet racing and crashes! What a day.

So it would seem there is only 28 sleeps till next time, and I feel it is going to take eternity to come.

Was really cool seeing a sport where people are out there going balls to the wall. All ages, sizes and speeds. Everyone was awesome!!

Cheers to the guys who ran today. Sooo many races. Was great.

Till next time, when I would hopefully figured out a way to pass Nigel!! Got a lot of thinking to do.

Here her, what a day,
Much thanks to Andrew and Bayden for organising the day and to the rest who worked the middle for the day.
My hats off to Nigel for not coming off after such a close encounter, man your riding has come along leaps and bounds this year.

Thank god I had replaced the seals in my pogo sticks and sorted out the master cylinder last week.

Hopefully my old fifty will actually be running properly by the next event.

I would love to see some photos of the days carnage, would make a excellent slide show on You Tube.

This is my girls thoughts of yesterday;
Amy says, " I feeling alot more confident and really good about my riding. Thank you to mac the dog for keeping me company and to the person who let me wave the flags."

Veetia says, " I like it because people were nice to me, I went really really fast and it was alot of fun. And thank you to the people who waved the flags and the boy who was racing in the C grade."
