For some strange reason I always take the same route back and forth to work.
Today I took a longer commute home and it was awesome!!
Red = my normal way, fast but boring
Green = tried it today - some real nice corners, no traffic until just before carlise road

I could vary my commute I guess but it is hardly any more exciting. Takes approximately 7-8 seconds to walk up the hallway to my place from the office & approx 30-32 seconds to walk out the front door & around the side of the building to my apartment :bleh:
It has been suggested a real biker would get a scooter for this "commute"

But the question remains ...... was it dark by the time you got home? seems like more than a detour kind of route. Good on ya

Good work Fizbin - now if I feel the need for a free red TL I know exactly where to get one.
There's only two good spots on my normal commute route - the Pakuranga Highway where anything goes, and Takutai Ave, which depends on the time of day.

To and from...not often to work, but mostly where I go.
(Edit) seems wises links don't work for some reason...the route in blue is basically through Whitford.

Agreed! The route you took (along Beach Road) is a wonderful ride, lots of twistie for some good cornering (nice beach view as well). I usually start from Milford beach then go along the way, pass Browns Bay to Long Bay beach! Nice morning ride for a sunny day.

This is a great idea if you and your sharing pillion start and leave work at the same time.
Othersie it would be quite difficult to manage.
