Resident only parking

Hey all, did a quick search and couldn't see anything on this, but does anyone know if you get ticketed for parking your bike in a resident only area? (If your not a resident.)
- In Wellington, if that makes a difference.

Public road? Yes.
Restriction: Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004 (SR 2004/427) Section 6.4 (http://www.legislation.govt.nz/regulation/public/2004/0427/latest/DLM303600.html)
Penalty: Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Regulations 1999 (SR 1999/99) (http://www.legislation.govt.nz/regulation/public/1999/0099/latest/DLM280197.html) - Parking Contrary to Sign - All Other Parking Offences - $60 (or less if lowered by the enforcement authority - Tui?)

There's no provision to permit them to tow your vehicle. Correction: An enforcement officer may authorise removal of the vehicle "...for the convenience or in the interests of the public" (http://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/public/1998/0110/latest/DLM435099.html#DLM435099) but I very much doubt any towie is an enforcement officer.



Enforcement officer means—
(a) A sworn member of the Police:
(b) A non-sworn member of the Police who is authorised for the purpose by the Commissioner:
(c) A person who is appointed to that office by warrant under section 208 or who holds that office by virtue of this Act:

I can't see them removing a bike either since there's actually nowhere to safely display the permit...

My window looks down on a resident only car park, the tow company with the contract makes a mint, he's there every day waiting for victims, and he has the gear to take bikes too.
