Ride it till the red
18th August 2009, 13:47
Hey guys, I know we aren't meant to put adds here but it's more likely to be seen by the right people.
99 RM250
N Style Graphics kit and gripper seat (looks good)
Expansion chamber guard
Flywheel weight
Bark busters
Bike has approx 10 hours on top end rebuild. Feels and sounds fresh as. Starts 1st or 2nd kick from cold or hot and just the same after lying it down.
Has recently had:
New rear tire (Pirelli Scorpion)
New rear chain guide
New fuel tap
New chain and sprockets (slightly older but still mint)
I change the Gearbox oil every two rides or one ride if overly muddy, wet or heavy on clutching. I clean and reoil the filter after every ride. I run it on 50:1 with Golden Spectro 2 stroke and BP Ultimate. Coolant is changed every few months for peace of mind but I have never boiled this thing (unlike many of those bloody four strokes!) has decent size radiators which no doubt help this.
Goes like stink and I absolutely love it, pulls easy 5th gear wheelstands as expected and is surprisingly easy to crawl through the trees on too. Will be sad to see it go but I need the cash and have decided to keep the CR instead due to it being newer (but needing work to get as mint <_< )
Kezza and Secondfield can attest that it does a damn good job of keeping their 450's honest. And at a fraction of the purchase and maintenance price :done:
Wanting $2500 firm, nothing to be spent just fun to be had
