Pants recommendations needed

So, I'm looking for some pants recommendations, here's my wishlist...

I think pants should be like a jacket, just throw-onable, the easier it is to chuck them on and get them off (over whatever I'm wearing, most importantly without removing [work]boots), the more likely I am to wear them. If I decide to take the bike instead of the cage, I don't want to have to spend 5 or 10 minutes each end changing, if I do, they just won't get worn, I know me.

They need to be comfortable both in terms of fit, and temperature regulation. No good if they are so unpleasantly hot in summer that they don't get worn, and waterproof is equally important for the winter.

They need to have good abrasion resistance, and some armouring, or at least padding. But armouring is a double edged sword because it can make them uncomfortable off the bike (easier it is to get on & off, less this matters), so there is a certain tradeoff here I guess.

Ok, suggestions and recommendations anybody?

I saw a dude arse off his bike a wee while ago...he needed to have worn better pants than he had on...road rash from hip to toe. Ouch.
Don't compromise. Get something that will work and wear it.

buy a car... it'll save you the trouble of recovering from road rash...

I can't vouch for their crash proof abilities but I have a pair of Rev'it Factor pants and they are great.

Doubt you could get them on over boots but they are warm when it's cold, waterproof when it's raining, and breathable when it's hot.

Look pretty good, fit well, still going strong after 2 years.

Would buy again :)

Yep I agree, and that's my point, best pants in the world are no good if they are inconvenient.

Inconvenient means either they stay in the closet, or I take the car. Some people are more organized and less lazy and more dedicated, respect to those people, I'm not one of them.

I have a car, and before that I spent about a decade of 365 days a year road riding without owning a car (or having a [class 1] drivers license), and before that I rode trail bikes for about a decade, so I'm not exactly unacquainted with bike injuries, hence why I would quite like to avoid them where possible.

You'll almost certainly want Cordura pants then. Leather is tight fitting, and more difficult to put on.

I wore leather pants for years (still have them) until I bought my Spidi Gran Turismo. They are cordura-ish material, with leather on the seat (so they're not slippery) and inside lower legs. They have a removable thermal liner, good armour in knees and hips, and have a vent zip on the top of each thigh. They're waterproof, warm, and OK in summer except when you're in stop/start traffic, when any pants (or even nudity) would make you very hot.
They're also not cheap. But then you get what you pay for. I paid for good 4-season pants.

Perhaps I can be more specific then.

Cordura (or similar) waterproof/resistant textile.
With full side (or minimum above the knee) leg zips.
Removable liner for winter.
Maybe with vents for summer.

Crashibility is good ... Grubs survived two crashes .. and still look reasonable.
