And our female subscribers. There seems to be a few too many crashers at the moment, so be bloody careful.
Must be some sort of cluster effect but it's not good reading about fatal motorcycle crashes in the paper. Just remember we can't laugh at you if you're not here.
Enough of the maudlin stuff. It's a beaut day down here in the Capital. The sun's shining and I'm stuck behind my pc. Still the ride in was great, and I can always look forward to home time. :niceone:

Yup, four motorcycle deaths in less than four days? - not good.

No, it's not good. But then we went a long time without fatalities.
Maybe we have to face the fact that we indulge in a high risk pastime. It's inevitable that some of us will pay the price.
At least we feel alive doing what we love.

It's 'inevitable' that some will go down I suppose when there are things out there over which we have no control (other road users, animals, road conditions) but we can all minimise the risk of doing it to ourselves by using our brains as well as our right hands.

Maybe it's something to do with it getting colder & therefore the roads are a lot more slippery.
Although in the last month I've had 3 cases of people attempting to run me off the road. Bless them <_<

There must be something in the water.
Like CSL said, cagers are a lot more aggresive/incompetent lately. And a guy I know well, who hasn't had a bin for many years, has just done it.

Yeah, well the first bike crash in over 20 years and I put all the blame on my brain, stupid bloody thing glitched and didn't register that the car I was looking at was stopped and indicating. As I closed the last 2 meters on my front wheel,I thought "this is going to hurt",But pixie power must have taken over and I described an elegant sommersault arcing over the car's rear quarter to land flat on my back.It took a moment to catch my breath, the fisrt thing I did ,while lying there, was to wiggle my legs to see if they're still working. Then I got onto my hands and knees and stood up.
Considering that the people in the car were about to look for a body, they must've thought I was about to seek some Terminator style revenge.
This happened in the Helensville area: Beware, there is some weird stuff going on with the S.T. continuum in the northwest, several fatalities in recent days.
Now I have to buy a new Bandit And a new brain or an upgrade or sumthin :brick:
