Digital video camera good for tank cam

I have a Panasonic NV-GS11 digital video camera i bought for tank cam vis etc but havn't got around to using it, comes with one battery, no charger hence i havn't used it because it got lost when i moved the chargers are on trademe brand new for $40, records to a digital cassette which are cheap to buy, des not come with any tapes.
