Touch-up paint?

Where can I get lime green touch up paint for my 2008 ninja 250r ? have looked everywhere - not even my local Kawa dealer will help !

No one seems to do it mate :(
Can't get the colour I need for my GSX1400 either so went to a local car paint shop and asked them to match it and give me a couple of small bottles.
Most are happy to do it at a reasonable cost and most have good colour matchers working for them.

Kawasaki use pigment based paint and not even they can match it from batch to batch.

Best bet for decent finish is respray, but I'm betting that's not what you wanted to hear.

I had a little mishap with me hornet and he can mix it up. He's right with the name of the paint too so I know he's not bullshit. Tis worth a shot. I think all you need is the colour code. Should be on your bike somewhere, mine was under my seat.

These guys use an electronic eye which matches the exact pigment and produces it a bit like you inkjet printer does. I don't think they can produce you a tube that will last as it is not the same kind of paint. I have had some grat work done on old cars.

I got some for my bike, perfect match & we use them for work touch up paints either spray cans or dab sticks. Colour Construction in Auckland, ph 09 813-6747 & ask for Lance but you may well need a colour code #, not sure.

Finding your paint code is a big start. I managed to locate some codes with a quick search i.e. 601D, 636 and 777. There will probably be more though.

Most automotive paint suppliers will probably have a spectrophotometer, which should help with locating the correct formula, but you'd need your bike there.

Nah. Modern Kawasaki paint is an arse. A decent auto spray painter will look at it and say, "I have to respray".

Kawasaki have no colour chart and don't document base coat colours or pearl ratios. Mine got sent to two painters after I rejected 4 resprays of the upper fairing, so I took it to crazefox and he said, "All I can do is respray the whole bike, and it's what should have happened in the first place."

I couldn't get a can of touch-up paint for mine, as it's one of those finishes that has several coats of different mixes to get the right finishing colour. It's obvious it's had some work done in the past, as if you look at the right side of the bike in strong sunlight, the front fairing and side fairing look different.
When I went into Smits to get some paint, they had several goes at mixing some paint for it, and gave up.
I think maybe when I get it repainted, I'll go for something like my last VFR had - Granite Blue Metallic (which is actually a metalflake black),

Possibly, but most decent painters are far too busy to piss about with poor paying jobs like that.
