I just bought a '93 R1100RS. Rode it home, no problem. Gave it a serious wash, took it for a 30minute ride, no problem. A week later I removed the broken Daytona grips then fitted Oxford ones. Went for an hour long ride, the bike had no power! Above 3500rpm or quarter throttle there was nothing just a deeper intake sound. So I figure that in buggering around with the grips I've disturbed some electrical thing or another. I checked the connections at the air filter and injectors, and pressed down on all the relays in the fuse box. 2 minutes later, doing 80kph and all of a sudden the power is back on. Whaa hoo, that’s great, but what’s the most likely culprit that may have caused the problem (other than me)?

First check and clean yer spark plugs....Next time, if there is a next time, stop and check both exhausts are getting warm....If it is electrical it may be ignition to a plug...

Daytona grips are faster than Oxford ones?
Probably you have bumped a spark plug lead off, or similar.

If it were a plug not getting a spark (even a weak one) wouldn't run rough and lumpy not just down on power? I didn't touch the plugs but I did push the left lead around a bit when installing the wiring. I haven't touched the lead since and now it's come right?!? I reckon it's a little magic boxes connection, I just don't know which one. Anyone know what they do?
Went for a ride tonight, about an hour, no running issues.
