May be jumping the gun a bit.... but just heard that AMCC is changing the date of their first round due to the clash with PMCC. It will be October 4 (unofficially).

Good news for me, and anyone else wanting to do the whole series of both:2thumbsup

It has been swapped with the ART day which will now be 1st November.

As to quote BurrtBadger who was able to sum it up in a few lines:

In the big bad world, when the track is available, clubs run race meetings. Note the reference to "When the track is available"..........The circuit owners simply want the place rented out, preferably to Car Clubs because they pay more.

And let's face it, if the club has to pay more then the competitors have to pay more and we all know that it is an expensive sport at the cheapest of times.

What would I know, but isn't between end of December and April some National Championship meetings, Paeroa and Wanganui which is when the club is not trying to run club series events and give racers a chance to spread the cost, effort, rebuilds whatever.

I guess at the end of the day, whatever dates are given, they are not going to suit everyone - the last set of dates didn't suit a big group of people. So really if the dates don't suit, then don't race....
