I was in my daughter's car heading North from the city and I pulled over to let you past just after the BP on the Northern before Silverdale around 5:45pm. I judged your speed at about the 120 mark, and enjoyed the burble of the V-twin as you went by. :sunny:
Sadly you also passed the unmarked Maxima cop car up ahead and he pulled you over...
Hope he at least complimented you on the nice colour of your SV when writing out the ticket... <_<

I have read no complaining yet about it so looks like the rider involved is taking it like a Man/Woman.
May not even be a KBer, not every biker is.

That's true. I don't often admit to it but the question rarely comes up. A bit like trademe really. I have a trademe account but no one asks about that either. KB is just a web site. Anyway the SV rider obviously deserved a ticket if he was speeding!! Think of the children and baby seals!!

Yeah, he didn't seem to be in any particular hurry, just cruising along.
Unfortunately if one cruises above the tolerance mark one will get pulled over... It was just getting dark and he may have not been concentrating, but I can spot a mufti a mile away. My bike is also easier to keep at a legal speed, but in the mornings heading into the city, if I sit at 110km/h everyone passes me! The general speed in on the Northern is about 118km/h in the mornings, and 115km/h on the way home.

.. unmarked Maxima cop car ..
I thought I was reading about myself for a moment, but upon checking my bank account, it wasn't me:sweatdrop
But because the :Police: like blue SV's I better be on the lookout - so What color is this fabled unmarked Maxima?

That's 'cause they're more tireder in the evenings after a hard day at work....

I've noticed lots of speed traps around at the moment.
I always give the nice Policeymen a polite wave as I go past.

Sort of a mousy colour in the twilight, like a tawny grey.

No, looked stock but a really nice dark blue.

I like to do that as well...makes 'em wonder what I'm up to...none of the bastards have waved back though...prolly ride HD's...
It behooves one to exercise due care passing other cars when one is upon the cusp of the speed limitation...one never knows who lurketh within said vehicamickle...

Faster into work than coming away from it :gob: I can see how that would be the case for BigDave but what are you thinking about the rest of New Zealand, Where would British Leyland be with that kind of work ethic? probably still making cars no doubt
