have talked to them in person... and visited their shop. Seems to be good blokes and have a large suspension operation.... in fact its probly all they do... apart from being the local bikeshop.

IMHO Robert is a bloody good bloke who will talk "shocks" with anyone. Very approachable.
I haven't personally had any work done by him, but a couple of seasons ago he helped out (with his time and advice) one of my racing mates who hadn't (at that stage) bought anything off him. My mate did end up buying some parts off him at a later stage.

As far as I am aware, Robert is the NZ importer of Ohlin shocks.

tends to overspring. but on that note he usually will let you swap springs for lighter ones if they are available.

when i got my current bike i took it in for a service and robert said he wouldn't do it because it was to old.
i told him his missus was old but i still serviced her ...he didnt like that much . what a fucken cock.
BUT recently my DR was playing up a bit he came out and was one of the nicest guys you'll meet and in the shock department he is the man.
ask yourself would you want your parents leaving your xmas presents instead of santa?
thought not.
so dont settle for second best . wait for rob taylor he is the santa of shocks

They're only importers which is fine if you're going to do the set-up.

Robert Taylor is The Man.
He was on our crew at the Aussie GP in '89. What he don't know about shocks is not worth knowing....

I also use Tjebbie Bruin up here in auckland --and he rides offroaders so he'd be good with ya front shocks
