If its just a piston/ring etc then could be worth but if its grenaded the bore it could be a diff story

Guees the real question is how cheap is it

And they are super easy to rebuild took me all up about 2 hours max to do mine and id never done one before the next one i did was even quicker

And both bikes still going strong after about 40hrs

If it's a two smoker it should be pretty straight forward and will be good practice for you.I rebuilt one in my flat's kitchen with nothing more then very basic tools.(My flatmates weren't too impressed with all the bits everywhere though)

You're not going to give us anything more to go on?? Is the motor apart? How do you know bore is good?

So piston kit, little end and gasket kit normally $322.33 but thats addujustable
would make it a roundbout a $1050.00 bike

buy it, but mikata parts from motocrossparts.co.nz for $130 ish

then tell us after a while if its still mint, nobody seems to want to use these bits in case their expensive bike goes bang, but im yet to find anything bad about them!

buy a mitaka bottom end too then!

the motocrossparts guy reckons he's a engine machinist with 25 years experience in the industry, and theyve been selling that brand for over a year now, so they cant be too bad.

I think I may have told you before BOOOOM but this is the second one I've had in my RM now and it seems sweet as! Lasted well (I did it long before it would have needed it just coz they are so cheap to do).

I'll chuck one in the CR soon as I don't know when it was last done and keep you informed on how that likes it.

Check the gears while you've got it apart too. Not RM's strong suit.

Bit of an update:

Here she is almost done. Just got to paint chamber, get a silencer, front number board and graphics. It actually runs which is bloody amazing considering the motor had been previously stripped apart and was put together wrong and had only one bolt in every peice. All up cost me under $1400 so its not bad. May be selling, may be keeping... so if your looking for a bike in mint cond, giz a yell.

Has new linkage bearings, clutch, piston and ring and complete gasket set. bottom end stripped apart and checked, new gaskets, and new bolts. Sandblasted and painted the frame, clear protective shit stuck over the top.

Looks good, how much did the frame cost?

$40 paint, sandblasted and painted it myself. Painted with a spray gun.
