Hey there,
I was trying out the KTM. Its a bargain now if you lust after one. New Models 28.5k with the Akrapovic pipes free & a couple of Demo's for 27k also with the free pipes. I have bought the AMP's demo now. Yeehaa! Tell you what, the RSV4's just piss off well quick when wound out but are tiny for us 6+ footers! Lovely day & a lack of plod made Hw16 awesome. :headbang:

Yeah, they came past us heading to Wellsford, KTM looked nice! You must have been in the other group (Gixxers/ZX10's?) that came past - fook me the first guy screamed past us.

I was the only one on a Hyosung! Haha!

There was a guy with a Yamaha v-max with 1000k's on the clock, the thing was a tank! a fast tank at that though.

Haha yeah, two 750's, two 600's and an sv1000. We pushed it bloody hard to Wellsford, love that ride, and no cops ;) That fulla in the lead... doesn't believe in chicken strips:crazy:

I was the bloke who had 3 bikes stolen in mid July. Insurance only just paid out last week! Otherwise, all those bikes too pricey for me. Was just a pleasure to see all the bikes out on the "Blacktop". The 09 R1 with the tiny pipes sounded amazing. 4cylinder multi's never do it for me but this thing rocked:2thumbsup
Hope we all have a safe ticket free summer!

No again. Thats the "R" $39k RRP. Just the bog Std RC8. I'm not on journalist wages! I know you will be scratching your head Dave considering my recent fleet & previous machines but the theft made my lady & I finally figure what we need. (Too many compromise machines.) This things for me alone. You know, "my mid life crisis" thing.

Can't see em from the pilots seat! Wanna come round & help me sew the sleeve on your new cardigan?

I was just starting my ride up north at about 1:30, had just turned onto Coatesville-Riverhead Hwy from SH17 and on a short straight saw an RSV coming straight at me in my lane trying to overtake 5 or so cars. There was also another bike in front of the RSV that I didn't recognise (didn't have time to register, saw bikes coming at me and moved the hell left! Haha)... both of them were fully in my lane... :oi-grr:

It was a great day for riding yesterday though! :ride:

Haha, well the first guy didn't, or at least I didn't see him wave (he was probably too busy trying to get back into his lane!) but the guy on the RSV did. I love the look of the RSV4 and the RSV1000R.

I was one of the guys on the RSV4.

I was riding on my own on the way up to Welsford, then Mungawhai Heads. Stopped at the lookout on HW16 and had a chat to a couple of blokes there.

Caught up with the other RSV4 and RSV, GSXR & KTM RC8 in Welsford and had lunch there. We had a "Rather Brisk" ride back along HW16.

The RSV4 certainly has no problem keeping with a GSXR1000. And the RSV4 was stock and not run in, while the GSXR was 20,000km so well bedded in, had a pipe, Velocity stacks and retard eliminator, and the rider was 24kg lighter than I am. (Cos Im a little more portly that desired)

The RSV4 is an unbelievable bike to ride. It truly is. And I have done many many km on the latest GSXR1000s, CBR1000RRs etc. The RSV4 is better! No question.:Punk:

Just got internet back (Woosh hates rain/storms).
Hahn:Were you in the group of guys that arrived as me (on the RSV) and the RC8 were waiting on the opposite side of the road?

Was a great day for riding and had some fantastic company (for a bit anyway LOL).

I can hear the pitter-patter of Katana Man now

Pleasantly bacon-free, indeed!

With the lack of crashes or accidents on that road, the police presence is completely un-neccessary!

Yes that would be bloody good.

But truth be told, if I lived on HW16 and had bikers passing my home at over 250kph with loud pipes and hitting the redline then Im sure I would be getting a bit annoyed. Hence they probably feel the need to request the police to spend some quality time there :D

Not hat I would ever do that cos Im an angel :innocent:
