Help!! I'm trying to order some new leathers. If you have some Alpinestars, Dainese or other reputable brand of woman's leathers in size 46 or 48 I would really love to try them on for size, before I commit to ordering anything. I'd prefer a two piece set. I'm in Wellington but willing to travel at least a few hundred k's to try something. I have emailed my sizes to just about every Alpinestars or Dainese online shop in the world but none of them are willing to help. They all say "try something locally first" the trouble is no one stocks anything...

Otherwise if you live far away from Wellington, but still willing to help, I can send you my measurements and we can compare notes.

Thanks...

I'm at MotoGB in Tauranga. I've only got some mens 2 piece leathers on the shelf which will be waaaay to big for you, but let me look into it & I'll get back to you. It may even be possible to buy a jacket & trousers in different sizes that will zip together but it's going to cost you more.

Sorry, not able to help either, but a hearty welcome to the site. Hope you get your leathers sorted out. A friend of mine wore a man's jacket for a while but, as it was not tailored correctly for her, it made riding uncomfortable. All the best getting a proper fit.

There's always the option of Leda Leathers - Dusty lives in Stokes Valley and does a sterling job. PM me if you'd like his details. I can show you some of his work. Made-to-measure, you can choose your colours and style, adn very reasonably priced as well.

Initial investigations into Alpinestars leathers Divulge the following:

In womens gear, they only appear to stock the Bat Pant (black) & Dyno Jacket (black/grey, red/grey & blue/grey), which will zip together. Sizes 42-50 pants & 40-48 jackets.

The only 2-piece leathers they seem to stock is the Mens GPU leathers in sizes 52-60, in black, red or blue. Ditto for 1-piece leathers.

Check out: http://www.alpinestars.com/_lp/moto_suits_frst.htm and have a surf around for the colour schemes.

I'll e-mail the supplier to find out prices & whether you can buy different size jacket & pants & still have them zip together.
