I've seen an early 1970s CZ trail bike for sale off a mates mate, it looks pretty tidy for its age and the guy wants around $400 for it. Are they reasonably reliable, or are they something I should stay away from?

No idea but if its still in good nick and running after 39 years thats not a bad track record.

I used to own two cz's they were entertaining wouldn't say they were reliable though. What sort is it? Any chance of a pic? if its a 175 with a kickstart that also serves as the gearshift stay far far away from it

A bit of casual off roading. I like it because it's cheap and has lights and indicators so I can bolt a licence plate on and at least 'look' legal. I'm unsure of the model, I know it's a 2 stroke and I think it's around 180cc.

There are probably better options out there. Even a chinese 200 maybe if it's cheap you're after.
