Read this headline in todays Taranaki Daily News.
A drunk driver put 10 people's lives at risk when she ploughed into the back of a car stopped at a police checkpoint in New Plymouth early yesterday.
The woman, who was also disqualified from driving, was one of 11 drivers five females and six males caught behind the wheel around the city from Saturday night to Sunday morning.
The 31-year-old who had a breath alcohol level of 1786 micrograms, more than four times the legal limit of 400mcg, slammed into the stationary vehicle on Northgate about 12.20am.
Also the Daily Snews report about a lady who was missing for 3 days and found dead in her car in Sth Taranki rural road over weekend tends to piss me off.Seems the local area commander Inspector Frank Grant is a little paranoid, the amount of fatals in the region due to speed or alcohol is bad he said.
He waffled on and then the paper reports the serious crash unit has yet to determine the cause of death.Imagine the lady's family reading this, here is Inspector prattling on about alcohol and speed insinuating this is the cause, yet the crash unit has yet to determine the cause.Wish this guy would get an idea when he says this crap, some people might take his word as being in the know, and reporter might ask if he knows the cause of accident. No I don't know the victim(haven't released her name, and only read digital copy).
