Sorry to be all 'original' but I am a pretty diehard Rossi fan. However I would really really like to see Lorenzo start beating Rossi a bit.
There is no doubt that Lorenzo has a bit of experience to gain, his lowside at Bruno was a classic example of Rossi putting the pressure on and making Lorenzo snap, so he definitely has some learning to do. But he is showing some brilliant talent and I don't think Yamaha appreciate him enough.

Rossi is getting old now for a moto GP rider and only has a few seasons left, I reckon Lorenzo could easily become the next big thing.

I agree with your sentiment too. Would be nice to see Lorenzo beat Rossi hands down (or hard fought) rather than one or the other taking a spill.

I also have to say that Colin Edwards has been doing alright lately, would be nice to see him with a bit more power so he can have a proper shot at keeping himself in the top 5 or better.

Turning it around, isnt Rossi the master of the head games, along comes jorge at Brno, on the charge, and either psycs himself out or dealt to by Rossi. Outstanding. Still, I agree he will be the next best thing, if he does not injure himself too bad...........

I think the Lorenzo/Rossi battle is some of the best racing seen for ages. Guys on pretty much the same bike awesome stuff. I don't think Yamaha will let him get away - unless someone makes him an offer he can't refuse...

To be the best you gotta beat the best. And at the moment that is Rossi.

I doubt whether either of those guys would listen to team orders if there was any. Obviously at the moment with the great racing they are having, team orders are out the window man. Bring it on!!

Hopefully it will get real close with the next few rounds. God I cant wait for the WSBK to get going again though - there is great racing to be had there also.

From what I've heard Lorenzo is achieving at the same rate as Rossi was at the same point in his career, just that Lorenzo is doing it at about 2yrs younger than Rossi was at the time.

Lorenzo has more about him than any other challenger to Rossi. I'd include Stoner in that statement. He has genuine ability and balls and has no problem dealing with the Rossi mind games. He does crash more and is susceptible to the Rossi "pressure" but he learns fast.

Having said that, we live in the era of greatness. Historical mastery of bike racing. Rossi is the best of all time and I am keen to see how far he can go.

The fact that he can challenge Rossi under the brakes shows something, Rossi being the king of late braking loses out to lorenzo who hold off just that split second longer. Shows that he has balls and also the skill to make the move. However Rossi still knows how to make him his bitch!

I still continue supporting Rossi, but I am pretty keen to follow Lorenzo closely.

One thing I will give Lorenzo is that he know's how to show off after he's won, Rossi doesn't do it so much as he used to so it's nice to see someone enjoying themself properly after winning a race! :niceone:

All credit to Lorenzo in the fact that he us an unbelievably good rider (as are most at this level) but it doesn't remove the fact that he is a totally arrogant homo. He take acting lessons as he believes he should be a star on the big screen. GIMP. Love watching him on the track though.

Lorenzo has a huge future ahead of him if he plays his cards right. I think staying with Yamaha was the right move and gives him the best chance of beating Rossi, and what a better way that on the same equipment.
(I am a Rossi fan however...)
