1989 Honda VTZ 250 for sale.
Lots of cosmetic damage, and lots of tape holding it together, but all the important bits (brakes, engine) are (or will shortly be) in good running order.
Battery less than a year old. Fork seals, and front and rear brakes were replaced at Christmas.
Chain and Sprockets have some wear, but will still be OK for a good while.
Packs a bit more punch than a GN250 or similar. Would make a good newbie bike, or a good commuter.
Obviously it hasn't done 0 Km, but I can't go and check the total at the moment, as it's at the mechanics.
Price is $2200. I reckon it's a more than fair price for a bike of this type and vintage, as I've seen a couple on sale recently for about 50% more.
If you want an independant mechanical opinion, the bike is currently in the hands of a very experienced mechanic, who is giving it the once over and getting it tuned up. He will be happy to provide a brief verbal overview of the condition if you ask nicely.
