Hey guys/ girls I am after some input here:
I am considering the Metzeler 'Sportec M1' or the 'Sportec M3' for the
06' ZX10, has anyone used any of the above tyres on a 10 before and
what were your experiences?
Any advice is much appreciated

Do you ride trackdays?
The M1 looks like a more "sporty-road" tyre, having more thread... M3 better for trackdays and dry roads I suppose?

Don't think you'll regret trying them out ! Id go M3 for summer M1 during winter ! Or i could sell ya a set of used race tyres for 150 , only get a few thou ks out of them on the road, but at that price who cares !

In that case just go with the M1 for the road and $150 used race tyres from sinfull for the track... perfect!:2thumbsup

Run a M1 front & M3 rear have done around 6 sets of these now , ran them on my K3 1000 GSXR & have just put another set onto my Aprilia . Got 17k out of front & 11k out of rear best yet , usely 14-16 Fr & 8-10 Rear tryed the M3 front but the M1 gives better feed back & feel for me so hence the combo .

Rear Sportec M3's on K1200R lasted 6K and front 10k. Mind you that included
South Island roads. Were Ok in wet but no tyres like the West Coast wet clay on seal!

I have not on the 10…yet.

Been there, was not happy with the 'shaping' the last owner had done.
i've used both of them on my 06 zx10 and the m3 is the better tyre by far
Cool that’s what I wanted to hear.
What tyres do you presently use?
Sticky Dunlops, but was felling them slide in the wet.
… have done around 6 sets of these now...
Cool so I take it your are real happy with them
Rear Sportec M3's…
Cheers.
Thanks for the feedback Gents, I have run Metzeler’s on a previous bikes and found good wet weather feedback, I have noticed since using EOM I have dropped off using my bikes during winter, due to this lack of feeling, so being a keen rider I want to get back to a brand I came to know and trust.

I'm running M3's on my Hornet and they are nice and sticky, esp in the wet.
