I'm leaving NZ in November, so my ZXR is up for sale.

~53,500km (will increase since it's my only vehicle)
Has just been serviced at Boyle's Kawasaki. Will be sold with a new front tyre, WOF and 3 month rego.

$3500 ono. Price is negotiable since I need to sell it by early November.

Test rides welcome with proof of funds.

Pics are on Trademe here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=239949746&ed=true

Here's a video of the bike starting with and without the choke, plus a walk around of it.

I'll consider any offers. Need to sell this within the next month, so make an offer and you'll probably get it for much less money than what it's worth.

Also, if anyone's interested I have a full set of riding gear available to fit someone 5'10-6'2 or so.

I need to sell this within the next couple weeks. The bike needs a new front tyre to pass its next WOF (due next month). Other than that it's 100% mechanically sound.

$3000 as is. If you're in Wellington and you need a cheap 250, this is where to look.

Hi Torgo,
I'm keen but there are some problems

1. I can't buy anything until I sell my car (on trademe, it has met reserve, yay)
2. I live in Auckland
3. I don't know if it'll be comfortable for me 6"0, 120kg
4. I'm an extremely inexperienced rider

Any ideas on how we can work something out? I'll go around some AKL bike shops and have a sit on some ZXRs to see if they're a good fit in the meantime.

Your best bet is to have a look at some ZXR, CBR, FZR250s in Auckland bike shops. They all have similar seating positions, so if you fit on one comfortably you'll have no problem on this. My 6'1 110kg friend was fine on it, so I doubt you'd have too much trouble.

If you don't mind paying a little extra for the new tyre and WOF, I can ride it up to Auckland for the cost of the flight back to Wellington.

Hi Torgo, it looks like I'll have funds from the sale of my car by Monday 28th.

I sat on a ZXR and I really liked it. Far less stress on the wrists than a GT250R, a new 250 ninja or CB250 that I tried.

So, I've got some questions:
When was the cam chain and tensioner replaced?
What will a front tyre and WOF cost?
How about $3000 + front tyre cost + WOF. That means it will come with 3month rego and a 6month WOF.

Here's what I can do for you if I commit to the sale:
Transfer some $$ into your account to get the WOF and tyre and to show you that I'm serious ;)
Buy you a one-way air ticket to Wellington
Give you some food and a shower at my place before dropping you at the airport.

Obviously, I haven't committed so I won't feel bad if you take a better, solider offer.

I'm not sure about the cam chain and tensioner. I had it checked last time the bike was serviced (it rattles a little bit when idling, sound disappears when in motion) and the mechanics told me it was nothing to worry about.

I'll call the bike shop tomorrow and find out how much the new tyre and WOF will cost.

That offer sounds fine. I've got one guy coming round this weekend to have a look, so if he's not interested I'll get back to you asap and get the WOF sorted out.
