A Rochester, NY teenager admitted in court that he shot and wounded a 13-year-old boy last year during an argument over a motorbike.
Diamond Bussey, 19, pleaded guilty to first-degree assault when he shot Paul Jones once in the chest with a handgun. The shooting occurred when Bussey approached Paul and demanded that Paul return a motorbike that allegedly belonged to his cousin. Before Paul could respond, he was shot.
In exchange for the plea, Monroe County Court Judge Alex R. Renzi agreed to send Bussey to prison for six years. If Bussey had gone to trial, he faced up to 25 years behind bars.
Paul's father, Stephen Jones, said his son is recovering well.
