First thing is, what do you want the bike for? cruising, touring, commuting, racing, weekend riding, adventure riding, MX... Do you want a cruiser, sports, sports tourer, naked street, adventure, dirt, etc...???

Then you need to go sit on some bikes see if they feel comfortable, get to take some for a test ride...

My other half started out on a VTR250, its a really good learner bike, great round town, and she toured everywhere on it, clocking up some big km's.

Get a second-hand naked. We recently got our daughter a Hyosung GT250 Comet. These are heavy-ish though, so what you really need to do, is go and sit on some bikes and decide for yourself. Once you have sat on some and taken some for a test-ride you will have much more of an idea of what you want.

Also, do a search using the function at the top. There's heaps of suggestions already in the forums...

Decide what you need the bike for and then go try some out for size/ fit. See if its light enough to easily manouvre around and that your feet can reach the ground when sitting on it and that all the controls can be reached easily.
Goodluck and enjoy.:2thumbsup
P.s if your not trolling get another avatar/profile pic.

If you have the money try out a vtr250 or maybe even a hornet.

I have an FXR150 and it is great, will eventually end up upgrading (moar powar issues) but it is light and easy to flick through corners (which is what riding is all about really)

i've got a scorpio 225 - excellent to learn on, very comfy and feel really safe. and i can pick it up on my own..... go to a couple of bike shops and ask to sit on a few (i did and they were great about it) just get one you're comfy on and that won't matter if you drop it a few times :)

I had an FXR 150 and it was premo, being naked and haveing my 1st crash ment no massive bog job and re spray lol then after a year I got a ZXR 250. My bro's Mrs got one (zxr250) as her 1st bike and totally loves it. It all depends on what style of rideing you are into tho. Happy shopping, its always an exciteing time :woohoo:

Convince me you are who you say you are and are not trolling. Then I might help. Is you profile pic and posted cell number an advert for services?
