Anyone got any good ideas on riding whoops. Someone told me the faster you go the easier it is, but that just sounds crazy. A mate of mine said if I fill my tyres with water it will help the bike stay on the ground, but he's a dickhead farmer so what does he know.

There was a thread about this earlier. The conclusion was just to standup and go flat out and hole on tight. Try it =)

the best way is roll thru them slowly, looking down pretending 2 fix sumthing on your bike, then when u get thru them speed off shaking ur head because your bike has let u down

we all know how with a 4/ the engine wants to keep rotating and spin forward thus compressing the front end. i propose that to ride whoops you take out the motor and mount it upside down so the engine forces are always lifting the front end instead of compressing... thus easier to wheelie across said whoops

ive also been told to fill tyres with helium instead of air ,it makes the bike float across the top off the whoops like the pro"s do. i saw bubba practicing with air in his tyres but he was having to roll thru the whoops,so it definatly works
Henk

Helium is no good, the molecules are too small and work their way through the tube and you end up with a flat half way round, much better to use argon.

Toughest trail loop I've ridden in woodhill, probably trickier than the toad. Excellent.

I think I might have a photo or two of you with a bottle of nitrous. You just want something to do half way round.

someone needs to invent life time lasting bearings, maybe teflon coated sleeves like the ktm heim joint, so that they cant break as your putting the bikes on the trailer about to go to what sounds like a really awesome event...

no, mine, the bearing on the disc side of the rear wheel has about 3mm of movement. didnt want to risk needing a new hub for the $34 it cost for a bearing kit.
not as bad as dads was, that was completely collapsed, 10mm of play sorta thing...
