i make a habit of getting a water blaster every couple of years and cleaning all the concrete paths and drive where "stuff" accumulates.Much less slippy afterwards...remins me i think i have to do it this year, before winter comes again
Sorry to hear about teh bike mate

Yep, those half decomposed petals from spring flowers are bloody slippery allright. They tend to accumulate faster than I can sweep them as well . Found out the other day when coming home and trying to stop. Bloody front slid for a good half a metre. Not fun.
Warning heeded. Must sweep drive way now!

I need to bring my bike around the back yard - and the grass was dewy - same thing, dropped it while riding it around, and it hit the edge of concrete - broken gear lever, indicator and scratched an absolutely mint bike - buggar!
I know the feeling :crybaby:

Oh brother, what a pickle! Sorry to hear that this has happened mate.
I'd already waterblasted my entire concrete apron leading up to and into my garge where the bikes reside, so no worries about this one happening here, but had a nasty surprise last week when a mates bike started to move away from me as I mounted my old girl!
Caught her before things got nasty, but needed to be pushed back up hill while holding onto his bikes handle grip and my girls tank between tightly clenching thighs, stop laughing STONEY I can hear ya from here mate.
Sad but glad bro, your'e Ok thats what really counts.
CLean yer freakin driveway.

You tag guys down there are too focused on the tags. One of you also got a speeding ticket on the way to or from a tag.
The Wellington tag is proving to be costly.
Fun but costly.

Bad Luck man, really sorry to heat that.
I have a Paranoia about Leaves that blow in to my garage for that exact same reason, just putting a foot down on one on top of the smooth concrete floor while manouvering the Bike in and out has nearly cost me on several occasions.
Not Good.

If it went down heavy on the right at least your muffler appears to have escaped injury??? Mine is so fat it's a given that it shows damage when my bike goes down on that side. ('Spensive to replace too...)

We have frikken camelias everywhere at our place and the flowerheads on those when they drop are a menace, even for walking! Good point about keeping driveway swept.

My muffler survived by one sheer fluke- :crazy:the double flanges used to adapt two brothers VTR thou pipes make a big industrial knuckle that kept her muffler off the tar- thank fuck (I still cant see HOW it did but it did) :niceone:
She nosedived super fast onto RH front edge- amazed the screens intact it was twisted under the weight! :crybaby:

Who was it that was saying most accidents happen close to home or something...
least u weren't screaming down SH1 at 115kph. That's no consolation though when your trusty steed is all scraped up.

Expenses related to this restoration to service have left me bereft of the cash needed for the distance planned - on Suzi anyway- she is one thirsty bitch bro she would be on fumes after many of the planned legs
Still have to bow out of the long one sadly- such distance will need to be the Duke for economy and she has a bald rear :(
